We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.
2) How we use information

- Analyze traffic and performance (aggregate analytics).
- Serve and measure ads and help prevent fraud/abuse (advertising).

Legal bases (EEA/UK): consent, contract (e.g., sending requested resources), legitimate interests (security, analytics, non-intrusive marketing), and legal obligation.
3) Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and local storage to make the site work, remember preferences, analyze usage, and support advertising.
Categories
- Essential: security, load balancing, consent records.
- Preferences: remember settings (e.g., theme).
- Analytics: understand usage and improve content.
- Advertising: ad delivery/measurement, fraud prevention, and—where lawful and with consent—personalization.
Manage cookies via our Cookie Settings link (footer) and your browser controls.
4) Advertising & affiliate links
We may show ads via Google AdSense and use clearly disclosed affiliate links to relevant products (planters, lights, tools).
- Ad partners may use cookies/device identifiers to deliver and measure ads and detect abuse.
- Personalized ads are shown only where lawful and with consent (e.g., EEA/UK visitors choose in the consent banner).
- Affiliate links never change your price; we may earn a commission if you buy through a link.
Your ad choices
- Google Ads settings: https://adssettings.google.com/
- Broad opt-outs: https://optout.aboutads.info/ (US), https://youradchoices.ca/ (CA), https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/ (EU/EEA).
- Use our Cookie/Consent controls to adjust preferences.
5) Analytics
We may use Google Analytics (or similar) for aggregated statistics. You can opt out with the browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
6) Email & forms
If you contact us or subscribe:
- We process your message to reply and for reasonable record-keeping.
- Email and form providers act as data processors on our behalf.
We do not sell your email address.
7) Sharing of information
We share data only as needed to run the site and comply with law:
- Service providers/processors: hosting/CDN, analytics, email delivery, form processing, security, ad partners.
- Legal/compliance: to respond to lawful requests or protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: if we undergo a merger/acquisition, information may transfer under similar privacy commitments.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some US state laws may classify certain analytics/ads uses as a “sale” or “share” for cross-context behavioral advertising—see Your rights below.
8) International transfers
We may process data on servers outside your state/country (e.g., US/EU). When we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by our providers.
9) Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed:
- Contact emails: typically 24 months.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Analytics/ads cookies: per provider defaults or until you clear cookies/withdraw consent.
- Legal/business records: as required by law.
10) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege). No method is 100% secure; please use caution online.
11) Your choices & rights
